Dae Jang Geum [finished]
Inspiring and captivating. A fantastic production set during an imperial period in Korea. Follows the trials of Jang Geum trying to find justice for her mother, herself and love within the walls and rules of an impenetrable palace. AWESOME! Lee Young Ae!
Autumn Love Story [finished]
The FIRST K-drama that I watched, it didn't get me in, but it was no doubt memorable. So many coincidental events, so tragic, pretty and heartaching. not my cup of tea, but at the time, gave me a lil taste of what was to come. song hye kyo FTW!J-drama FTW!
Silence [finished]
Nearly another typical asian Drama of two star-crossed lovers who take twenty episodes to get together. BUT, it's a nice one, doesn't drag too long, takes it's nice moments ...NICELY? LOL and yeah overall great performances from vic chou and park eun-hye.
One Piece
Always great! The best manga I know to exist. It is packed every chapter with 'sugoi' humour, drama and intelligently deals with issues like friendship, life, goals and morality on a multitude of levels. A great read; provides an escape, a real adventure
Goong [finished]
Quite a typical korean drama, but it's OK, there's good enough chemistry between the leads and is filmed very beautifully. A story that explores what would happen if South Korea had a consitutional monarchy...and yeah it feels so real...
Hana Yori Dango 2 [finished]
As like the first season, very glamourous! the music is good, captivating-ish, but mm i think it has a strong story, with good strong characters! the storyline is a bit fantasy-like though, but yeah overall a great production with great actors!
Attention Please [finished]
Ueto Aya is the desired GF jap dudes want a survey once said. I know why now, she is more than just cute; she has a type of attractiveness that is very feminine, but she can do comedy! i thought it started average, but has soared higher than expectation!
Nodame Cantabile [finished]
I love this drama!!! one of the best yet, it's hilarious, has a little bit of romance and a HEAP of awesome classical music. i can't think of anything bad to say; very interesting characters all with great chemistry and guranteed sore cheeks from laughing
Proposal Daisakusen
Quite humorous, nothing like the production of nodame, but it has something in it that is quite intriguing...i'll write more as i get more...
D.Gray-man
Reading the manga at. It's an interesting set up - in a world of exorists who banish demons. it's a battle for the world of good vs evil. typical in the sense of being a shonen manga, but a very interesting gothic-loli world that attracts you. good!
Hunter X Hunter
Alike to One Piece that in that it has very very interesting characters going on an adventure in a very fantasy world meeting even more interesting people. Fantastic imagination and concept, creates a really nice virtual world for views. Great comedy too!
House [season 1 and currently 3]
I shouldn't have left it last year. House is awesome; one of the few shows where you can laugh, feel sad and think about life all together all at once. Very balanced and Hugh Laurie is still a genius. :] x 10
Heroes
Creative! Explorative! and just overall mind blowing and interesting every episode. Just...cool. Complex storyline where every character is entangled, but what's the best are the characters themselves and their struggles.
Tatta Hitotsu no Koi [finished]
Just One Love is a japanese "pure love story"..it's different from the korean stuff is that it doesn't have the overbaked korean cheesiness. same writer as orange days, but sadly this one doesnt hold up as well, it wasnt too bad, leads didnt click though.
My Boss, My Hero [finished]
Hilarious first ep. One of the funniest things ive seen! Maintains most of the positive energy of japanese comedies, but yeah a lil predictable cause of all that ive seen, but still good. Interesting! Aragaki Yui and Nagase Tomoya is damn funny~!
Orange Days [finished]
I liked this drama heaps, one of my top 5! Follows a group called the orange society during their college days as they find their paths in life, love and relationships. Focuses on Kai and Sae, a deaf girl, who also refuses to speak. REALLY GOOD!
Gokusen [finished]
Think GTO, but female teacher who is a bit of a dits. haha but that;s what makes it funny, and damn Yankumi looks so different without glasses! Nakama Yukie is teh cute~ but yeah a bit like MB,MH sort of formula, but it works! Good Good!! fight-oh, oh!
1 Litre of Tears [finished]
An extremely sad story of a girl with an incurable disease. Inspiring, or meant to be, to those who are healthy. Aya is left with limited choices in life for her life, but she fights hard with the support of her friends and family to treasure her time....
Ghost in the Shell : 2nd GIG [finished]
Starting from where season 1 left off...it's still as good...I'm just waiting for it to get better now! It's just as good, cept i liked season1 better :] but yeah good good all the same!!
Kemonozume [paused]
Romeo and Juliet-esque, but not. Very unique and stylised animation and very good story telling make this a sensational anime. It's not a kids one really, but yeah very interesting all the time, has clever humour and complex themes.
24 [season 1,2,3,5 finished...6 now]
Action packed and always seems to be able to draw you in and give unsuspecting twists every episode without fail. Kiefer Sutherland is made for Jack Bauer and I'm looking forward to Season 6. Yosha!
My Girl [finished]
A good romantic drama with the usual Korean-style-fated events that creates a stirring chain of events. The roles are played well and Lee Da Hae shines and is always so believable. Good.
Lunch Queen [finished]
Omurice and Kitchen Macaroni are wonderful creations that draw out fantastic comedy and passion for food. It makes you want to eat during every episode and always leaves you with a smile with all the funny stuff they cook up.+allstar cast! :]
Nobuta wo Produce [finished]
Nostalgic, really funny and sad too. I really like this drama. It's a lot of fun to watch, but yet it makes you think about your perspective a bit on everything. Oh and I love Horika Maki~!
Pride [finished]
A very good drama overall. With the charismatic kimutaku as lead this is a very well paced and more mature type of romantic drama. Rates somewhere in my top 5!
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex [finished]
A very awesome anime that is action packed and mental stimulation packed! Every episode leaves you wonder about things deeper and more philosophical than you would usually. A Thinking man's anime with really really interesting characters!
Kurosagi [finished]
One about swindlers. Interesting and it has my beloved Horikita Maki-chan in it!!~~ wahaha, she is really cute in this one, as usual. The drama itself it OK, nothing fantastic, but a must for any yamapi or maki-chan fan!
Taiyou no Uta [finished]
Sawajiri Erika is at her best again, but this time she sings too. Stay with me and Taiyou no Uta are some of my favourite songs of the year. The OST also packs a very emotional punch. Great series and makes you think about lifes worth. Go romance~!
Yakitate Japan!! [paused]
God this one is good too. Problem is I haven't gotten round to finishing it. Only gripe is that it's a tad repetitive in the sense it is about the main character beating rivals, but! it's still very very ingenius and humorous. Unique and clever!
Ouran Highschool Host Club [finished]
WAHA~! One of the most funny animes I've seen, though it't not everyone's cuppa tea, but very entertaining. Maybe cause I can draw parallels to the characters and some friends. It's a great lighthearted diversion from reality.
NANA
NANA has one of those stories that you'd struggle to find in a million years. It is that beautiful and realistic; it makes you feel, it makes you think. Though it is about two girls, it is nothing sloppy or corny. It always makes you look at the world.
Bleach
Great quality, action packed and always fast paced. A good manga, but I have a feeling I'm growing out of it too. The art is better than Naruto's, but sub-par compared to the magnificences of One Piece. Creative and youthful.
Jyu Oh Sei [finished]
Was very captivating, mysterious and new, but as it got to it's 11 episode end it was finished off quite abruptly I think, which didn't do it much justice, but certainly a good one that wonders about the status quo a bit and ideas of superiority & enemies.
Naruto
Initially very good. I hung by every chapter of it, until I grew out of it. I guess it is still a good manga, but just not for me now. The art is quite basic, but the story covers very good themes such as friendship and being true to oneself.
Save Your Last Dance For Me [finished]
I didn't love it, but this drama has some of the best music I've heard in a drama. It has the usual Korean drama happenings and atmosphere, but yeah the acting was great. Probably better for the girls, but yeah a good example of a 'classic' Korean drama.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya [finished]
Definately a surprising package of humour, drama and a little bit of romance. It's nothing sloppy though, but always proves to capture your imagination and attention. Too bad it was cut short, but it was fun while it lasted.
Densha Otoko [finished]
I loved this drama. It is honest in a way, how it looks at love, and yet very comedic and dramatised, but it all works for me. Based on a very inspiring true story, it can be an inspiration to anyone who's open to some cool, but uncool love.
